Advanced surgical treatments and services
Whenever possible, we will use minimally invasive techniques during your procedure. This surgical approach has the potential to reduce discomfort, shorten your stay, expedite your recovery and minimize scarring.
Types of surgery we perform
Our hospital was among the first in the United States to adopt one of the most precise robotic surgery systems. We can now operate with two robot-assisted platforms, enabling us to achieve the best possible surgical outcome for you. Our surgeons specialize in the following:
- Breast cancer surgery
- Cardiothoracic surgery
- Colorectal surgery
- Foot and ankle surgery
- General surgery
- Gynecological surgery
- Heart and vascular surgery
- Neurosurgery
- Oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMS)
- Orthopedic surgery
- Outpatient surgery
- Spine surgery
- Surgical wound and ostomy care
- Urological surgery
- Weight loss surgery
Before your procedure, we will escort you to a presurgical area where your family members can join and provide comfort. Following surgery, you will begin the recovery process in our postsurgical care area.
Colorectal surgery
By performing colorectal surgery, we can address conditions of the lower digestive tract, such as cancer, Crohn's disease, diverticulitis and ulcerative colitis. In some situations, surgery is needed to remove damaged areas and restore bowel function.
Some common colorectal procedures we perform include:
- Colon resection
- Colostomy
- Fistulotomy
- Hemorrhoidectomy
- Ileostomy
- Pilonidal cyst excision
General surgery
Our board-certified general surgeons have expertise in a wide range of procedures, enabling them to treat conditions such as:
- Abdominal issues
- Appendicitis
- Colon issues
- Esophageal issues
- Gallstones
- Gastrointestinal (GI) issues
- Hernias
- Rectal issues
- Skin lesions and masses
- Thyroid issues
- Traumatic injuries
We collaborate with other specialists to provide coordinated care. Most procedures can be scheduled within a week of your initial consultation.
Neurosurgery
Our neurosurgeons address conditions of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves and cerebrovascular system. At our facility, we offer 24/7 neurosurgical coverage. Our team plays a key role in our award-winning stroke program, readily delivering emergency care as needed.
Outpatient surgery
If you wish to use an ambulatory surgery center for insurance reasons, we will connect you to another facility. We conduct complex procedures at our hospital, but you may undergo outpatient surgery elsewhere.
Our surgical suites and family waiting room
Within our surgery department, we have 10 modern surgical suites. Eight are dedicated to general surgery and the other two are for cardiac surgery. One of these suites is a hybrid operating room (OR) that integrates traditional surgical capabilities with advanced imaging and cardiac catheterization (cath) technologies. Our unique setup enables us to safely and precisely perform both minimally invasive and open surgeries with real-time imaging. These suites are near our emergency room (ER), intensive care unit (ICU) and heliport, enabling our medical professionals to respond to urgent situations as quickly as possible.
Our welcoming family waiting room is designed for comfort and convenience, offering a quiet space and a separate area with a television and Wi-Fi access. Additionally, we have a private consultation room for confidential conversations between your physician and family members.
For any questions, we encourage you to call (603) 627-1887.
